Women’s Council
Support. Educate. Empower.
The Nebraska Trucking Association (NTA) officially chartered and organized the nation’s first Women’s Council to Support, Educate & Empower a new generation of women to consider careers in transportation. Today, the NTA Women’s Council actively promotes the many trucking careers at events across the state. The council works to ensure women have the tools, confidence, and training to build careers in trucking. There are opportunities for all, from over-the-road drivers to diesel technicians to safety managers and dispatchers.
Now is the perfect time for women to build careers in this great industry.
What We Do
The NTA Women’s Council vision is to build a strong, supportive network of women in trucking who uplift, mentor, and grow together professionally and personally. The council works to educate and empower women in the trucking industry, while giving back to the community through outreach and career awareness.
Professional Development
The Women’s Council hosts workshops, webinars, and represent women in trucking by supporting many other NTA events.
Mentorship & Support
Connecting new members with experienced industry professionals with networking events throughout the year.
Community Involvement
Members volunteer across the state to introduce girls and young women to trucking careers through school visits, events, and hands-on experiences.
Nebraska Trucking Cares Fund
We’re making a difference in the lives of trucking families! The NTA Women’s Council created the Nebraska Trucking Cares grant program to support individuals and families in the trucking industry experiencing challenging times. We step in and fill the gaps when life happens. Support ranges from gas money for transport to medical appointments to groceries for a family dealing with a loss, and much more.
