Supporting Nebraska Trucking Families In Need

When difficult times or hardships fall on members of the Nebraska trucking family, the Nebraska Trucking Association (NTA) and the Nebraska Trucking Foundation want to do their part to help. That’s why the NTA’s Women’s Council created the Nebraska Trucking Cares Fund*. NTA members can nominate their employees facing illness, injury, loss of life, natural disaster, and other tragic circumstances for a grant.

Assistance applications are accepted for Nebraska residents only, who are employees or immediate family members of a NTA members. Please contact the NTA for more information.

Nebraska Trucking Heroes Wildfires Relief Fund

Whenever Nebraskans face tough times, the trucking industry is there to help. Wildfires are leaving unprecedented destruction across western Nebraska, and the NTA is taking action, alongside the Nebraska Department of Agriculture and the Nebraska Cattlemen. With more than 35,000 cattle displaced and thousands of acres lost, there is a need for feed and supplies, and for trucks to transport it all.

Nebraska Trucking Heroes Stipend

To help, the NTA is offering the Nebraska Trucking Heroes Stipend. Truckers, farmers, and ranchers who help transport emergency relief supplies can get support to offset the high cost of fuel. The stipend offers $0.50 per mile, up to 500 miles per trip, for truckers helping with wildfire relief in western Nebraska. The Nebraska Trucking Cares Fund has pledged up to $5,000 to start.

*As part of the Nebraska Trucking Foundation, an IRS 501(c)(3) organization, donations to the Nebraska Trucking Cares Fund may be tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor.
