Driving the Future of Trucking Careers
Member Powered Outreach
In 2023, the Nebraska Trucking Association (NTA) launched its outreach program with the purchase of a driving simulator and trailer to spark interest in trucking careers. In 2024, we expanded our efforts by introducing a diesel technology virtual reality (VR) experience, offering an even more dynamic way to engage with communities across Nebraska.
Today, driven by member engagement, the NTA Road Team has reached thousands of Nebraskans each year with its trucking message, Miles of Opportunity, Unlimited Possibilities.
K-12 Educational Programs
The NTA visits schools across the state, delivering an engaging curriculum focused on increasing awareness of the trucking industry’s impact on our communities and the miles of opportunity it offers.
Workforce Development
A program focused on reaching Nebraskans searching for meaningful careers through job fairs and community events. The NTA helps connect members and the industry with job seekers looking for their first career, a new opportunity, or a second chance.
Road Safety Awareness For All
Safety is at our core. The NTA delivers safety messaging to young drivers and the general public through presentations on distracted driving, sharing the road with, and identifying the No Zones of commercial vehicles. We promote safe driving practices for everyone on the road.
Trucking Industry Scholarships
More than 220 scholarships have been awarded since 2022. The NTA Road Team promotes the scholarships available from the Nebraska Trucking Foundation. These scholarships help students realize their dream of a rewarding career in the trucking industry.

Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Training Scholarships
Scholarships are available for up to $1,500 to support Nebraska students in pursuing their dreams of driving the open road.
Diesel Technology Training Scholarships
Scholarships are available for up to $3,000 to support Nebraska students dreaming of working on our country’s big rigs.
