Nebraska truckers help make season merry for others Twenty-one trucking families in need are sharing $13,000 just in time for the holidays as a result of the 2009 Christmas Group Fund Drive mentioned in last week’s green sheet. Nebraska Trucking member Eldon McFarling, E & R Transportation, Ceresco, reports that “I am worn out, my ear hurts from many hours on the phone the past few days, but the results this year are simply awesome. Many Nebraska truckers donated and helped fellow truckers in need have a better Christmas this year. On behalf of the CDLofit Christmas Group, I would like to thank the Nebraska Trucking Association and everyone who donated.” In addition to the Christmas Group effort, Nebraska Trucking members also raised a total of just over $16,000 to support the Omaha World Herald Goodfellows, Habitat for Humanity chapters in Kearney, Grand Island and Hastings, and the Food Bank of Lincoln.               return
